A national campaign

Since February 1, 2024, Betting On US has been on a national campaign to understand what is working in local economies and learn from the leaders moving them forward.
Our work has taken us into rural, urban, and suburban communities across the West Coast, East Coast, Midwest, South, and northern United States. We have explored how local conditions shape opportunity, which practices are producing results, and what leaders need to advance their work.
Our approach to research
Our research combines scholarly inquiry with visits and direct engagement. We study ideas, meet the people putting them into practice, and learn from the communities experiencing their impact.
These conversations and experiences inform our programs and deepen our understanding of how leadership, capital, and institutions can work together to transform economies and society.
